Inline blending is a unique process that takes a defined quantity of different materials and precisely blends them based on ratio. This process is used to create a final product in industries such as Oil and Gas. The new KS98- 2 is a multi-function controller that successfully creates products by the process of inline blending. This single unit measures, controls, calculates and records.

Recently, PMA updated the KS Vario multi-loop control system to improve its response time and to deliver even more I/O flexibility. Process input scan speeds are now faster for larger systems, allowing up to 15 loops of process control with 100mS scan speed or 30 loops at 200mS. Now, the system serves an even wider range of applications.

In temperature control applications a setpoint is the target value at which a controller attempts to maintain the process variable. This can be achieved by adjusting its control output power (the correcting variable). Controllers have a local setpoint and sometimes remote or other alternative setpoints. Setpoint values are limited by the instrument input range and any setpoint limits.
