The CAL range, by West Control Solutions, provides a choice of compact, efficient temperature controllers. Designed for industrial or scientific applications, the CAL 3300 1/32 DIN temperature controller provides essential temperature control functionality including heat/cool operation and a simple ramp/dwell program. Integrated auto-tune for optimum PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) settings and a unique dAC (Derivative Approach Control) function for minimizing overshoot is also included.

CAL 3300CAL 3300 is easy to operate with a simple menu- driven configuration, and clearly defines the current temperature through its large 4-digit green LED display with two outputs. To help keep the operator from inadvertently changing the settings, this controller offers a parameter security-locking feature. CAL 3300 is designed with an accurate and robust PID auto-tune to alleviate users having to manually tune the device, helping to reduce commissioning time.

The PID feature is further enhanced by a unique dAC (Derivative Approach Control) function. CAL developed this feature to be triggered during initial warm up to widen the proportional band. During this period, the temperature rise is slowed. When the temperature falls within the original proportional band, the controller reverts to normal operation. The result is a steady temperature rise with minimal overshoot, which can be critical when maximum temperatures must not be exceeded.

CAL 3300 can also be used as an FM (factory mutual) approved over-temperature limiting device. In this application, the compact controller provides critical heater power cut-out and serves as backup, incase the main temperature control loop fails by exceeding the maximum allowed temperature.

West Control Solutions is established as the provider of exceptionally reliable temperature control solutions across a variety of industries. These devices are well-trusted to perform over long periods, within extremely tight tolerances. To learn more about the CAL range, click here.
